Which smash burger should I order first?
If you are new to smash burgers, start with The OG Smash with a Beef Original patty. If you like spice, try the Tikka Butter Melt with a Desi patty. If you want serious heat, order the Naga Firecracker, and if you are very hungry, go for The Triple Threat.
There are eleven burgers on the DesiSmash menu, and every one can be made with Original or Desi patties, in beef or chicken. That is a lot of choice, so here is a simple way to pick your first one, based on what you like.
Step 1: pick a taste
I want a classic
The OG Smash. American cheese, OG house sauce, pickles and diced white onion on a double smash. If you have ever liked a diner-style cheeseburger, this is the one.

Another classic: The Oklahoma Onion, with onions smashed into the patty, double American cheese and mustard mayo. Sweeter and a little sharper.
I want something smoky and sweet
Smoked BBQ Pitmaster brings aged cheddar, a smoky BBQ glaze, pickles and a crispy onion ring. Caramelized Stampede has smoked cheddar, caramelised onions, BBQ mayo and turkey bacon.
I want spice, but not too much
Tikka Butter Melt is the best way in. Spiced cheese, makhani butter glaze, mint-coriander chutney mayo and red onion. Creamy and warm, not fiery. Tamarind & Bombay Street is tangy and crunchy, with aged cheddar, tamarind chutney, coriander lime sauce and crushed papri crisp.
I want heat
Garlic Chilli Crisp has chilli-jack cheese, roasted garlic aioli, chilli crisp oil and iceberg lettuce. For the hottest burger we make, choose the Naga Firecracker. Our full heat guide explains what to expect.
I want something a bit special
Truffle & Wild Mushroom has Swiss cheese, garlic and thyme mushrooms, truffle mayo and spinach. Earthy and savoury.
I do not eat meat

Step 2: pick a patty
- Beef Original: classic salt-and-pepper smash. The safest first choice.
- Beef Desi: beef mixed with green chilli, coriander, ginger-garlic, cumin and garam masala.
- Chicken Original: lighter and milder, made from chicken thigh.
- Chicken Desi: chicken thigh with mint, chaat masala and cumin.
All four are the same price. For more help, see beef or chicken smash burger.
Step 3: pick your size
Every burger is a double smash, except The Triple Threat, which has three 2.5 oz patties, three slices of cheese, double pickles and extra OG sauce. If you are not sure you can finish it, start with a double. You can read the comparison in double or triple smash burger.

Step 4: add sides
Make it a meal with seasoned skin-on fries and a cold can. If you are hungry, add loaded fries, or share a portion. Ideas are in loaded fries and sides for smash burgers.
Three easy first orders
- The safe bet: The OG Smash, Beef Original, with seasoned fries and a can.
- The adventurous: Tikka Butter Melt, Chicken Desi, with masala dust fries and a mint-coriander dip.
- The brave: Naga Firecracker, Beef Desi, with a cold can and plenty of napkins.
